I used to hear teachers groan on the day after the parent-teacher interview that there were parents they absolutely would love to have met face-to-face but these parents never front. So, you are absolutely correct Michelef.
I think you spelling is definitely OK and you get A+++++ for your input here. I've been having the drunken soldier song running through my head after reading it. If parents only knew that education has a big fun component in it and by being part of their own kids' learning, they are conveying that as well, then children will coast much more easily through their years at school. Non-participating parents are the losers!!! They have the chance of a second schooling if they get involved with their kids' learning and miss all the fun. Silly people. It's not all about chasing money. The Asian kids out do the Aussies dramatically in the education stakes.
