Basically all we need to do is to change the name of Governor General to President and maybe abolish state governors, and devise a system for sacking the President if needed, and everything else should stay the same including letting the pollies appoint the President.
If we let the masses vote for a president we'll have celebrities and sporting heros being voted in and we've seen how that's worked out in the past. Who was that idiot bald musician that Labor had? The very last thing we need is a USA style system!
Our system has worked quite well for us so why make any drastic changes?
It ain't broke so it doesn't need fixing, just a little bit of tuning.
