I think there is speculation the new CEO of Bank of Qld will be more obliging in relation to merger/take-over(?)talks.
Fed Govt also keen on broadening bsnking competition away from the big 4 to other participants ie bldg societies,credit unions,so BEN should benefit.
Also borrowing margins have come down from initial scare of European bank defaults 2 mths ago,and (relatively) this should help
