There seems to be quite a high emphasis on reclaiming Vanadium from waste products.
Many years ago in my business we used to drill out old padlocks and re-key them. There came a point where it simply was not worth it and where it was actually quicker and cheaper to supply a brand new padlock.
I think consistency with regular and reliable supply together with high quality will overtake this aberration. It is politically correct to play the recycle card of course but I think this will fall from fashion in time simply due to cost and practicality.
There is always room for an efficient and high quality supplier in any industry.
