As I mentioned in my post, my view is very simplistic which proposes some complex issues in such a debate. Once again you have done a great job in presenting factual information as to the reasons why you think the RBA acted like this. I agree with your statements but still stand by my view that the high level (and ever increasing) of consumer debt had the maojarity of influence in their decision.
Inderictly, I do think the RBA responded to greed. It is greed that has got us to a point of high consumer debt, so a response to debt levels I guess eventually comes back to how we got there in the first place...greed.
