Nope, I have savings and still regularly shift my money to savings accounts every pay. It's purely an opportunity cost and the old adage why pay your bills early when you can use it to make money.
It's the same as i can earn interest on the money sitting in my bank account or in shares vs taking it out of my savings paying it off today and not getting interest on it.
It's pretty simple if you can make every dollar count.
All that is within cash flow management and eking out every little cent per the dollar.
