We didn't need to be educated. We left school at 14 or 15 and started work, thinking about how we could become self sufficient and not become an encumbrance on others. Us poorly educated Boomers soon learnt that the harder you worked the luckier you became. We didn't need to finish year 12 and head off to uni to learn how to save money. Didn't take long to turn 10 bucks into 100 bucks to 1000 bucks to a million bucks. No uni degree needed by Boomers to work out how to maximise ones earnings within the current govt systems. Us poorly educated Boomers were smart enough to survive, raise families, be self sufficient whilst not being an encumbrance on the govt or anyone else. Poorly educated but with heaps of street smarts but ah, no cappuccino's in those early days.
