When the gold price recovers (when?) MYG should offer much more leverage to the improving market than mid tier gold miners. Especially if exploration is successful.
Mid tier gold miners need to buy successful explorers with feasible resources to keep growth to a level that shareholders are happy with. 10 year mine life at 100,000 oz per year with exploration upside seems to get attention. That's a bread and butter operation for a mid tier gold miner.
This is nothing but a spec stock with a handy resource but I prefer to punt on these stocks with the chance of an exploration bonanza as they seem to be where the real multiples of shareprice come from.
