Milk will be rejected if the scc is too high. That level varies from authority to authority. But from memeory it is 400,000 to 500,000 for rejection.
Also farmers will get a higher price per litre for lower levels.
So the mastitis treatments will impact income directy and also reduce costs of vets, lost production and replacemt costs of cows.
