I actually think he has a point. Victoria is a net exporter of gas. A Victorian gas reservation scheme just like what WA has (where the wholesale gas price is currently $7/Gj) would benefit Victoria and all states should have this. Except NSW ofcourse because they only produce 5% of what they need and falling. Victoria has a fracking ban and I have no problem with that, Victoria has conventional gasfields off the Ninety Mile Beach, off Wilsons Prom, and off the 12 Apostles (tourists don't seem to stay away and the marine life don't seem to be bothered). There is plenty of conventional gas available, PEP11 for example.
