why buy and why sell.

I bought recently at $2.50 to see go to $3.00, which still seems cheap to me. Here lies the problem, i bought into BNB thinking it was cheap and without knowing the fundimentals. Happy to hold for the long term on what i have since investigated that it has, for the time being , some good assets. However with a sheity market for so long to go then why should i hold? If i sell it converts a paper loss to a $$ loss, however who thinks its still a hold/ buy long option? Happy to hold and they just sent me a divie reinvestment form. Thoughts please.
