re: why buy today?? jazz FWIW, I think it is risky holding the large mining stocks BHP, RIO over weekend. If inflation fears go up in US, then metals may get hammered as hedge funds pull out of the carry trade. Coupled with excess steel in China, ... Could be wrong though.
