I did the same. The consequences of this panic have yet to be felt and I seriously doubt it will be over in one day, one week or one month. It's way too early to tell whether or not the virus will be us next month, the rest of the year, or come back worse in Nov. The virus is also merely symptomatic of how sick the financial system is to do so much damage so easily and so fast. When Trump came to power the market was already overvalued and pumped up (at DJIA 15,000) and after 4 years it should have only risen to about 18000 at 5% per annum by 2020. Have earnings really grown so fast to merit such a rise? I doubt it. The market flew to 30,000 twice that - so Corona or common sense would soon prevail and I will wait to buy until the real value appreciation has been sold past. e.g. the DJIA is now 24,825. It is possible we see 17,500 before October which would signal the end of the current bear market. And let's not kid ourselves - that is what it is...a bear market...which means lower highs...and lower lows....for some time yet....
