    It's because the positive announcement wasn't as positive as many investors had built up in their minds.

    Plus, with the long drawn out lead up (multiple extensions etc), so many people accumulated in hope of a spike....and the spike was essentially squashed with all the short-termers trying to sell and no large buyers coming in.
