I'm not sure whether I qualify for your list of leftist posters, nor do I regard such categorisation as having real worth. For the record though, according to political spectrum assessment instruments, I am pretty close to the centre.

It appears you have glossed over one little detail in your comment - reality. Indeed, what provoked discussion today was the report that appeared in The Australian:
