China’s Nuclear Power Program
- 13 Reactors Operating: 10,212 MWe net capacity
- 27 Reactors Under Construction: 27,678 MWe net
- 34 Additional New Units by 2020: ~36,000 MWe net
The chart below show that China will suffer a widening uranium supply shortfall commencing 2017 unless it obtains a large uranium deposit. Furthermore conflict could stop 75-80% of China's energy supply.
