tls needs nfc (and a new ceo)look at its sp with a 2 still in front.Agree croesus, and imo the points britelite makes r not relevant to a open telco jv roll out.The nfc networks r much easier and quicker to roll out than the credit card networks .As it would b open to all credit cards and banks the network would only require wow and wes approx 40% of australian retail to sign up by what ever subsidies req'd and other retailers will follow.I have not read any where of problems associated with a roll out(eg delivering terminals or as in japan case easily in their words adding the nfc chip to their felica sony network),that applies to google, isis,uk jv,denmark jv,deustche telecom, mobilcom, china mobile etc etc.eg google with no problems has delivered some terminals to japan retailers, isis has signed up wal mart, toys r us etc delivered terminals no problem ever mentioned(NOT TO HARD).apparently un subsidised cost of a terminal is $100 ea.Its imperative tls is involved in the roll out so it is free to use the network as it wants not the case with a google network.NFC for tls equals mobile wallets, advertising etc etc obviously leading to the finance sector as per current OS telco experience, buying banks and taking advantage of online banking revenue, term deposits etc. Many of the nfc global trials r sml purchases which r charged to the telco's not banks and then paid back to the telco by the customer on their monhly bills eg a telco may allow a particular customer to charge $100 or $300 nfc purchases to their telco bill. But this is because the technology is in its infancy as Deuscthe telecom has indicated.Just read google and apples nfc ambititions and c what they have planned.Excatly y the urgency in the telco roll outs and expansions.."thats pretty much it"a major understatment.
