Markets are falling, monetary conditions getting tighter and banks are starting to feel some pressure. In this risk off environment (for bankers as well as equity investors), he may need to compromise to get the financing deal done.
He has tried to avoid an equity raise but this may have to be a bigger part of the deal.
Personally I wouldn't mind if it means the finance is in the bag.
