Another million shares washed through so far today, a big wall forming at 13.5 cents, and 14 cents almost eaten up!

Copper price still hovering around $4.2, though a bit of weakness with a slow start after Chinese New Year

Copper inventory stocks however are cratering still, with only 74 kton on LME, and 30 kton on COMEX

China has likely been buying up for their internal reserves, though it looks like most judged a recession hitting and copper price going down to restock...

Now they need to restock, and price is still high, so potentially a new base for copper starting to form, before deficit hits hard!

Peru is also in turmoil, I think 3% of global Cu supply is now under threat....

MMG are stopping activity on their Las Bambas mine, which is a full 3% of global production! They are due to announce that tomorrow, they can't get supplies in to keep running due to the protests...

This is gonna put a big dent in the supply equation, and push the deficit even harder, and likely higher Cu prices to push new production to get going!
