Buddy, Don't mope about it. Learn from your mistakes. I lost about $10,000 before I made my first $10,000 (that means a $20,000 recovery). The important part is that you understand what you did wrong and don't make those mistakes again in the future. If the loss is hurting now, sell and be done with it, because that is a heavy down trend and its not going to turn on a dime. A loss on your tax you can hold indefinitely so consider it hedging against the next big win you have.
