When the loan from Banco Brazil ( that’s just a stab at the name and I cannot be bothered to check the name) fell through and management went cap in hand to these boys, shouldn’t they have known that they were cooking their ( and our) own goose ?

I’m not suggesting that there was an obvious “ other “ option but I wouldn’t give them a pat on the back, with a gee whiz fellas, thanks.
