why did they not drill horizontal test well?, page-9

    Andy,

I've gone through much of the NWE website and their presentations. There is very little posted about what comes next after this frac program is completed. I've posted all I can find below:

"At the completion of flow testing, Norwest will be in a position to:
? high grade target intervals for development,
?scale up flow test results from the vertical well to predict
    production for horizontal wells,
? design a program for the next phase of the project, and
    ? estimate contingent resource volumes."

Outside of "design a program" I can't seem to find much more, seeing as you seem to have the answers, what's your take?

One point I am left confused on is regarding the HCSS,

"• High Cliff Sandstone tight gas target a secondary objective for this program, however if results prove favourable, this well could ultimately be converted to a commercial producing well."

Is the HCSS the only zone that can come online in the very near term? Is this because they were hoping it be proved commercial without the need to go horizontal? Or is it some other reason?
