This happens for shell companies.
Private companies want dirt cheap entries that will result in huge % gains in the long run.
If I knew my tenants were worth a lot of money I would sooner give them to GMN than a larger cap explorer as I can take more of the pie from the get go in this case close to 30%.....
It's a lot easer to get to public funding this way than go through an IPO.
