    But this is all based on the unproven premise that CO2 emissions are bad. That the "ideal" CO2 levels are about 300ppm, that the sea levels should be where they are today, rather than 2,000 years ago, or 12,000 years ago?

    The optimal level for CO2 for photosynthesis appears to be around the 1500ppm to 2000ppm. Where they have been (or higher, much higher) for about half of the last 500m years. Without which we would probably never be here.

    Only humans could be so arrogant to think they can affect, or control, climate levels to exactly where they would like them to be.
