cannabis psychosis is highly variable though. it often depends on how often and what the THC component of the cannabis. but most users of cannabis don't reach psychotic levels.
of greater concern are the amphetamine type drugs and hallucinogens such as LSD. the psychosis from these is very insidious yet people with hallucinogenic psychosis are often able to function reasonably well and so don't often pop up on the psych radar.
many Aboriginal people are multi-drug users. Alcohol, being the most violent and destructive drug but the most socially accepted of all, is often overlooked when discussing drug abuse. DV and other violence is often accompanied by moderate to high levels of intoxication. much more so than amphetamine type stimulants.
