I haven't heard a word of praise for Saddam on HC by anyone. If his removal is what Bush wants then one smart bomb or a billion dollar reward would save the invasion cost and save the global alliances.

But no, that's not the objective - it's a grand plan to reshape control in the middle east along US lines. It's a massive show of force as a warning to other countries never to threaten the US militarily or financially and get the US back into its position of global puppeteer and money vendor. It won't work, it isn't working and it will stuff the West up.
