"We live on an amazing planet 6 billion years in the making. If you ever think there is no purpose to life, go outside and look at the wide diversity of language and culture we have around us. Look at the plants and animals in the many different environments across the globe or the complexity of the universe. Find some things that interests you; basket ball, human anatomy, flying aeroplanes, bush walking, knitting, English literature, interpretive dance, and do it to your little heart’s content. Better yet, find someone else who also likes that activity and do it with them! Or if you can’t be bothered going outside in the first place...just watch your children for 5 seconds and then tell me if you still wonder why anybody could think there is no purpose to life."
what a fantastic summary. well done richard.
i can't imagine how destitute somebody would have to feel to think that in the face of so much wonder, they still need a "purpose" attached to a specific narrative.
