To learn and evolve. Which is seemingly hard when all the focus is put on thousand year old texts where the main point is constantly missed.
More should be focused on helping fellow man (unselfish acts,mindfulness etc) and less on perceived 'rewards' for worship, good deeds etc.
Religion as a whole has added no value to the human race.
