But they do not know how old you are, your gender, etc. That is the key information that is used to measure the type of audience being reached and whether that is something that satisfies the longer-term goals of the business. No point just reaching 70 year olds who will be all dead within 10 to 20 years. It does not cut it for a FTA broadcaster, and one that is reliant on direct public funding to sustain its operation.
