why do institutions love bot trading?

currently have a bot in action today selling 20 shares every 13 seconds.

I could understand a bot operating to move a decent volume over the day but the amount today is the equivalent of less than 34k or less than $18k

Even if the stock moved 5c (being 10%) in the day, which isn't likely, at worst they would be losing out on one half of b..... all, if they sold the stock in one trade at the low of the day. It is just so silly.
