Playing the blame game on shorters first, Chinese, is missing the point.
The Chinese EV and EV Battery makers have their own lithium (vertically integrated) and they have also built a large global ecosystem supporting their industry.
And they control and dominate the global EV space so there is no strong demand push in the spot market in the absence of legacy auto makers from US and EU and given Tesla's flagging demand globally.
