As you know, I'm not a great fan of the Labor party...
And I think I'd prefer Turnbull to lead too! BUT I felt betrayed when he supported the ETS. At the time, Rudd's argument was about rushing it through so we could be an example at the Copenhagen fiasco.
And once it became clear that India and China subverted the intention of Copenhagen, we continued.
So, in reality, I prefer Turnbull IN SPITE of the ETS.
However Abbott did us a favour in regards to the ETS and has really been the only opposition leader to lay a glove on this government - and he's come up with a few good hits. He's been effective as opposition leader.
It's now not a question of if he loses (which is probable), it's more if he can pull off a defeat that is historic (in Australia anyway) in defeating a first term government!
