No, I'm not saying that Turnbull can never become leader of the Liberals again.
What I am saying though, is that all of this Abbott/Turnbull speculation is irrelevant at this time.
Abbott is the current leader, and an election is five weeks away. That is the only thing that is relevant at this time.
Some people are critical of Abbott. But, at least we know what Abbott stands for. Whether you like him or not, you can make that decision because he says what he thinks and is not afraid to disclose his beliefs.
On the other hand, what does Julia Gillard stand for? Does anyone know? We know she is a leftie and can't be trusted. Anything else?
