Why do non christians ask for prayers?

Last week a friend of mine had a serious cycling accident, and an accident by the true meaning.

He has suffered serious facial fractures, fractured vertebrae in his neck, fractured ribs & punctured lung.


The people from the cycling club have posted on their website.

Here are excerpts with names deleted.

9 Sep. .... is now out of the induced Coma but is still getting assistance to breath and is still in intensive care, but improving. He has many skull and facial fractures but is communicating with his family by way of pen and pad.

7 Sep. Unfortunately on a Monday night M7 training ride.... has had a bad fall. He is.... Hospital with a fractured skull and has been placed in an induced coma. Our thoughts and prayers go out for....for a speedy recovery. Take care out there gang ! Will update as we know more.

I now all these people personally...and they sure aint christians.

I'm sad for my friend, because he is a top bloke..never could ever say a bad word about him.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope he recovers. :)

But it's the others, asking for prayers....convince me?
