I have been in the market for 7 years and still consider myself an amateur. It's such a dynamic place, the game is always changing in technology. The economy also changes all the time, you have to be up to date. And your own financial situation and psychology are changing, altering your trading and investment ideas. Really though, It's tough and not many beat the market, you have to be a bit lucky. As mentioned, it's a transfer of wealth from the outsiders to the insiders.
