because they are losing money and it's not their fault. So they blame it on shorters, manipulators, bots, downrampers, institutional selling - whatever. Anything so that they don't have to take responsibility for their own mistakes.
Of course, when the share goes up they are simply geniuses, especially if it was a wildcat strike, like SIR.
