the other side of the rhetoric argument is the preparedness of people to believe the rhetoric. theres a hunger that he's tapped into, a distrust of authority has always been there but they see the world changing around them, hence the whinge about woke, and they can't tolerate the changes.

@Scott th Ratbag - I have only recently done more study of Hitler's rise to power - he did use criminals, ex convicts to form his first 'gangs' outfitted them with a uniform, gave them weapons and they went along to pubs where they knew union meetings would be held and terrorised defenceless people. In America, where men carry weapons, I can see a pretty frightening senario happening, if it really comes to that.
