I don't understand your reasoning. Every day we get up and try to do the right thing for our family, our stock and pets. The unforseen will always happen. I am sure that if you outlive a pet there will be a family member who care for it. In the meantime that abandoned cat or dog has enjoyed a safe and loving environment and you have been blessed with their companionship. Do your best. It's all you can do.
