Jehovah warned Adam against disobedience, which would lead to death. (Gen. 2:17)“As for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.” So it was never God's purpose for us to die. Satan enticed Eve to violate Jehovah’s command. Adam did not reprove his wife but joined her in eating that forbidden fruit. Death was to be within a "day" of 1000 years 2Peter3:8 during which time they produced children. Because they were already dying their children inherited sin and death. (Romans 5:12) That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned—.
