snuff, I watch a video recently of someone claiming stimulus doesn't work. The argument was working on the premise\claim that stimulus didn't work because they claimed it didn't lift GDP.

Though they ignored totally one of the purposes of a stimulus, was to reduce or stop the GDP from dropping, hence not necessarily a lift in GDP.

The other silly clam that was made was that a stimulus was transferring jobs from one location to another location. When in reality, debt being used to create jobs is not taking jobs from anywhere as they claimed.

We had Treasury here in Australia recommending to the government to go in quick and hard with a stimulus.

There was general consensus about the stimulus, including from the Coalition.

As the stimulus was wound down, the GDP kept increasing.

The resulting GDP numbers seem to support it as being a successful tactic.

Proof in the pudding so to speak.

The approach doesn't seem to have had an adverse effect on the economy, unless you can point out where you think the strategy failed.
