EuroTravelLover, you're absolutely correct. I'm a dill. All I have to do is put the funds in Trading account 2, buy the shares and interest will accumulate until the shares are paid for on day 3 or whenever.
No wonder everyone else answered as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I missed this crucial point. What an idiot I am sometimes :)
