Fair enough.
I'm raising what to me is an important point.
Christians use the same source document for their religion and come to a multitude of different conclusions.
Examples of real and important differences:
Is faith sufficient for salvation?
Is/ was Jesus Divine?
What is the meaning of the wine and bread that has become part of some Christian traditions?
Do we risk eternal torment for lack of belief especially considering that many have a natural inclination to be skeptical?
What part of scripture is literal and what part is imagery?
How are the not too pleasant parts of scripture such as stoning and even putting people to death for working on the Sabbath reconciled with a loving God?
Why is suffering by innocent children allowed by a loving all powerful God? It's easy for people who are not directly impacted by mass suffering experienced in some less developed parts of the world to blame it on sin (especially on Adam).
Just blaming all misfortunes on sin seems a bit shallow to me.
I think that the bottom line is:
The teaching of religion should be postponed until people can decide for themselves based a mature consideration of information presented to them rather than on indoctrination.
