long time ago when building PC systems / installing and troubleshooting them was my job bad RAM was one of the most frequent issues
the second on the list was motherboard issues - usually a design problem rather than a manufacturing fault like it is with RAM
CPU overheating can also be a problem, sometimes dust can build up or your CPU fan can just stop
I had a friend who lived in a cold place and the cold was an issue for his CPU
