Even if we control pollution, as is very desirable, that will have no effect on the 'greenhouse effect'. We could get rid of every polluting gas on the planet and still suffer the greenhouse warming effect.
The subjects of pollution and greenhouse effect are unrelated, two different subjects.
May be the misleading is deliberate to confuse people. Everyone wants to get rid of pollution, so lets confuse that with the greenhouse effect and people will think its a great idea.
