High AUD is cleary having an impact but i really find it hard to understand why NWS seems to be grounded at the moment. Share buyback seems to be aggressive at the moment, there is recent reinclusion into Aussie indexes & general good tones around the dj offer & other internet things they are doing.
The dj offer is really interesting. On the day of the announcement- NWS got hammered losing $1US. Now when general media indicates that the dj offer looks on - the price rallies. Now that a competiting offer may be a possiblity - it struggles. I sometimes cant work markets out.
Macquarie has price target of $39. I see good support at $28 - but will be concerned it this does not hold.
