how can they make an informed decision to buy or sell
Before you come to the screen to buy a stock you should have done a lot of research before hand ,
And be happy that the company you have chosen is trading on a fair p/e ratio, not a lot of debt good eps,and can improve eps, correct sector for that time etc,
Look at the chart decide if it is on a high or low part of its cycle
Then you would look at market depth ,opening and closing prices, course of sales then buy if you are happy
