It stuns me Qantas continue to ignore their failings and making statements like it was through no fault of their own.

Clearly Joyce wants to protect his future executive salary against the interests of taxpayers, shareholders and other stakeholders.

Why does Qantas not go into receivership, let the experts relief shareholders and taxpayers of the pain.

A 2 billion dollar loss is a 2 billion dollar loss and their market cap was only over 4 billion several months ago.

Surely the answer involves downsizes and re-augmentating the business model more conducive and responsive to market conditions to save shareholders investments and taxpayers money.

It is absurd to promote demand on Sydney to Ballina, Perth to Broome and Brisbane to Cairns routes after the issuance of very cheap fares at taxpayers expense!!!

The person who makes the best decisions has to come from the real world and understand the full range of options available unlike Joyce who appears sadly limited and out of his depth!!!

It seems it would be in the interests of government and taxpayers that Qantas was better managed as well financially as well as operationally in terms of meeting public requirements and not used as a plaything for executive egos!!
