Why does Skripal want to return to Russia?

Maybe its because she left her pet dog she adores behind, her fiancee and close family let alone her career.

But if you read some papers in the UK, apparently she wants to go into hiding and a new identity never to go back to Russia because she has nothing there. The fact she is a Russian citizen and denied consular access we don't really know the true story as anything done handwriting or what is claimed by media could be under duress from either side (or even bribed). She is just a pawn in this game and is no way some super spy.
