Barney there are degrees of left and right and there is no doubt that some people have preferences that cross the boundary to both left and right.
Both our major Parties have similar policies that cross boundaries and vary only by degree.
We have not had a truly left or truly conservative right government for a long long time and I am glad about that. Inflexible more extreme govt is the last thing a free democratic society needs.
On climate change and global warming we can agree to disagree. I in fact would hope there was no problem but given the great body of science that regard global warming as one of the great challenges the world is facing I would prefer as much as possible is done to mitigate the consequences that the scientists are saying could occur if nothing is done.
