There are four main owners of Caziwell

Mara owns 66%, and Karelis, Washer, and Peterson own almost the other 33% of Caziwell through "MJ Life Sciences" (can't find anything about this company online, except that it was created in August of 2016)

Caziwell
66% Mara
33% MJ Life Sciences
20% Karelis
20% Washer
22% Peterson

So (apart from the other 38% of MJ Life Sciences (effectively 12% of Caziwell)), the board of directors of Zelda own Caziwell.

My question is, why do they have to buy data from themselves that they already own? By paying Caziwell through Zelda instead of just giving the data which they already own to themselves for free, or paying for it themselves outside of Zelda, isn't this kind-of using shareholder dollars to pay themselves, in a sense?

In other words, they're paying out of Zelda and it's coming right back into their pockets via Caziwell, right? They're not losing any money but Zelda shareholders are?

I'm not making any claims, I'm just trying to understand and wrap my head around all of this, it's confusing and I'm new to this type of business operation.
